Our 2026 Sports Participation Youth Advisory Group had a great start to the year, meeting during Youth Meets Parliament Week to discuss their upcoming priorities! 💪 Priorities include: 🏀 Supporting the delivery of the @asc Play Well Strategy to help create safe, welcoming and inclusive sporting experiences for young people 🏀 Exploring how sporting organisations can better engage and communicate with young people in authentic and age appropriate ways 🏀 Supporting accessible sport opportunities for young people living regionally, rurally, or with disability, and 🏀 Removing barriers to participation. To support the release of the Play Well Strategy, the Australian Government and ASC opened a Play Well Participation Grant to encourage more people to get active and enjoy the benefits of sport. The ASC support the development of Australia’s sport sector by building capability, advancing sport facilities, and inspiring Australians to get involved at a national and local level. We’re really excited for the upcoming collaboration between the advisory group and ASC to drive outcomes in sport across the country - check out the members representing you at the link in our bio!

Disability Sports Australia and its members Play Well Participation Plan 2026–2029 For more than 65 years, Disability Sports Australia and its predecessors have worked alongside member organisations to support disability sport participation across Australia. This is our shared plan for the next four years. Today, we work across sport and across disability, building the capability of sport so people with disability can participate in the way that works best for them. We are not a single-sport organisation. We represent a national network focused on participation in grassroots sport. Aligned with the Australian Sports Commission's Play Well Participation Strategy, this plan sets out a shared approach with our members to strengthen participation across Australia. @asc 🔗 Link in bio

This Mother's Day we're celebrating all the strong women in our lives! 💙 Caity Parker is just that - a boxer, role model and mum. From the AIS to motherhood, she reminds us that strength isn't just measured in the ring, but in the ways we show up for those who matter most!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. We remember the sacrifice of those who have served and those that are currently serving in uniform.

When Adam Goodes says sport is important, he’s not just talking about the Grand Final wins, medals and awards. He knows that it means a lot more. And given that Adam’s quite a busy guy (Dad of 4, CEO, co-founder of the GO Foundation, weekend soccer player) he also has some pretty simple rules to make sure he’s healthy – both in body and in mind. Sportish is out now on all your podcast apps and also on YouTube and Spotify video. Come take a listen! 🎧 Comment PLAY WELL and we'll send you the link! @adamroy37 @libby_trickett @georgietrickett @asc @deadsetstudios @thelighthaus @gofoundationau
