It is entirely natural to freak out when it comes to aging. At any stage of life, from child to elder, we feel our bodies shifting in good ways and bad. And no one really talk about how to deal with it.
As a dancer, it’s more noticeable because after you turn 18, chances are, you start losing flexibility. But as you might lose that gift, you gain countless others.
It’s important to accept that as one thing comes another goes. And giving up is part of what makes the reward for perseverance that much greater. Calling on friends and family and online resources can keep us afloat. When we accept that you can only grow by accepting help, life becomes possible and success becomes less frightening.
