What beautiful, yet simple things do you find around you everyday? 🌷
Artist Mabel Alington Royds often depicted everyday things for their quiet beauty.
These two woodblock prints are part of a series of flower prints that she made between 1933 and 1938.

Today’s #OnlineArtExchange theme is Myths & Legends in connection with the exhibition, Cornish Myths & Legends at @cornwall_museum 🧜🏽♀️👸
This painting by Elizabeth Forbes is called ‘A Dream Princess’. Forbes blended Pre-Raphaelite inspiration with working-class subjects, and many of her figures were costumed in medieval clothing. Here a fairytale princess enchants a farm worker in his sleep, in a scene that borrows strongly from Arthurian legend.
Forbes was originally from Canada but she settled in Newlyn where, alongside her husband Stanhope Forbes, she helped establish the Newlyn Art School.
