Together, we’ll reflect on the waves of youth-led movements challenging power and reimagining futures. AC Zine Club is a series of zine-making sessions focused on organizing towards a better world. The club meets simultaneously in four physical locations as well as online. Through engagement with Tending the Soil by Ricardo Levins Morales, we reflect on eight lessons for organizing and translate them to the socio-political contexts in which we live. Through zine-making and digital and physical gathering, we create space for deep consideration of the struggles we face, the tactics and strategies we can build on, connections across geographies, and the role of art in organizing.

The Hidden Arts exhibition program is officially concluded! We wish to wholeheartedly thank the many artists, practitioners, partners, collaborators, students, networks, friends, and public who joined us on this journey 👐 🌠 🛠️ Concluding with a week-long program during our Harvest Festival, we were delighted to welcome hundreds of visitors, each day inquiring into the exhibition themes and questions with different approaches and disciplines. We studied, broadcasted, exchanged ideas, and created space for one another while exploring alternative economies of collectivity, shared resource building, and arts organizing 💜 A special thanks to @_hash_i_  @strandedfm  @giuliamenegale  @imaginart.group  @daaeunnee  @kristaontheinternet  @10000bl_  @myvillages_rsoe  @lumbung.space lumbung kios @arts_collab and our student and alumni community from @hkumafa  and MSP 🌈 As our first exhibition following Casco Art Institute’s transition last year, framed as a collective experiment in more ecosystemic and shared forms of arts instituting, we are proud to see the commoning values driving this change reflected in practice, shaped by both existing networks and collaborators as well as new, resonant ones. The Harvest Festival was supported by Stichting De Zaaier, Municipality of Utrecht, and DOEN Foundation via Arts Collaboratory. Mark your agendas for the Harvest Festival 🍇 8–13 October at Casco! This week-long program serves as the closing program for our Hidden Arts exhibition. As we explore alternative economies of collectivity, shared resource building, and arts organizing, it’s time to celebrate the collective resources harvested during this period and beyond. Expect presentations, screenings, radio transmissions, mini-assemblies, study meetings, cooking sessions, and workshops. Stay tuned as the details about the full program will follow early next week 📅 In the context of Arts Collaboratory and lumbung experiments, harvesting is understood as a form of collective writing that facilitates continuous learning through various sensory experiences. It is both a generous and generative practice. Harvesting involves the artistic recording of discussions, meetings, gatherings, and studies, where harvesters listen, reflect, and depict these processes through their own perspectives, forms, and artistic practices. Harvesting has no fixed structure; it may vary according to each person’s preferences. Equally, following the seasonal cycles, harvesting also serves as a way for ecosystem members to gather the fruits of their shared efforts and prepare for the next period. The Harvest Festival aims to explore the role that radical artistic imaginations can play in the transition toward new economies centered on collectivity. It brings together a diverse group of artists and practitioners from Utrecht, the Netherlands, and our extended translocal ecosystems, using their imagination, friendships, and resources to redefine transformative understandings of the economy as a practice of living well and supporting each other. You are all welcome to join us; we hope to see many of you around! 🫂
