Some rough sketches of my other favorite pokemon, Scizor! Currently taking a prop design class and damn is it challenging. lots funny though, I still keep doing it haha.
Before the summer, I took a a perspective class with @drawwitheric . This is an example of the second assignment! The idea was to practice mirroring a design in perspective and then doing the same thing on a grid. Somethings worked, others didn't but, im glad I did it anyway. Hope everyone is well on this rainy Monday.
A study of what you'd find here in new York. The goal for this was to practice what I learned in my perspective classes as well as creating confident, consistent lines
Since 2020, I've been doing line drills.
Since 2020 I felt like that my foundation skills at that time were nowhere near the level needed for the positions I want to so desperately be in. Line drills were a kind of comfort, it helped me believe that little by little, I was getting better.
I'd practice on whatever scrape pieces of paper I can, sometimes old order forms from my retail job. Sometimes those drills would he the only thing I could do during the day. It's better than nothing but I would still kick myself in the pants for not doing enough.
I think its time I throw these out. As a way to focus on designing. I'll still do these but I think it's time they take a backseat for a while.
Currently feeling unsure about me and my future, but I know these are just thoughts.
Please be well everyone!
Took a perspective primer class that ended not too long ago. For our first week we had to do 1pt and 2pt cubes without using rulers. It was tough but looking back, my lines got better and better!
