Big news from the Stella Adler Studio, we’re proud to introduce our newest workshop… Whisper Acting. Why project when you can barely be heard? In this groundbreaking workshop, actors will explore how to deliver full monologues at a near-silent murmur, the art of making your scene partner say “what?” at least three times, and subtext so subtle, even you might miss it.
Final showcase will be performed entirely in whispers. Audience members are encouraged to lean in… or just guess. Happy April Fool’s Day.

The Stella Adler Studio NY and Art of Acting Studio LA will be returning to Australia, in Sydney on March 20th and 21st at Screenwise Acting School, and in Melbourne on March 22nd at the Malthouse Theatre to hold in-person auditions for its world-class actor training programs. Through the audition tour, the studio is seeking to connect with the most gifted, ambitious actors in Australia who have an appetite for rigorous training and an interest in studying acting in New York or Los Angeles.

We are excited to be back at @setc and today Director of Artistic & Student Engagement @ryanchittaphong taught a workshop on ‘Creating Characters Through External Inspiration.’ Inspired by Stella Adler’s teachings, this hands-on seminar introduced practical tools for building characters beyond yourself. Actors explored how to find inspiration in objects, nature, animals, and the people around you to create vivid, truthful performances.
