We're completing an exciting collaboration with the acclaimed Dale Chihuly on a commission for our new collection in Budapest. It was a privilege to work closely with the team at @chihulystudio and gain an inside look into their creative and production process. The artwork will be arriving at the hotel in the coming weeks, and we look forward to sharing more soon. 🌀 Chihuly Studio’s works can be found in private collections and public spaces around the world, and the studio is currently exhibiting at the Venice Biennale through November 14. Images via Chihuly Studio

Inviting discovery at every turn @stregis.budapest Across the hotel, guests are invited to move through spaces that balance intimacy and grandeur, where ornament and architecture converge. Our art collection unfolds through layers of discovery, creating a sense of awe, quiet opulence, and layered immersion. 👁️ A peak of one of the commissioned wooden textile installations by @elisa_strozyk

Though often considered a modern artistic language, collage is deeply rooted in paper craft and material experimentation. By layering, fragmenting, and reconstructing found materials, the medium transforms traditional surfaces into something entirely new. We curated a selection of digital collage prints as part of a broader exploration of contemporary craft practices for our collection at the St. Regis Budapest. Across the collection, traditional materials and heritage techniques are reimagined through modern applications, creating a dialogue between past and present craftsmanship. 'The Couple' by @the_scissorhands_ , now part of the collection.

A dialogue between past and present craftsmanship ♾️ We curated an art collection for the St. Regis Budapest inspired by the Belle Époque, when European craftsmanship was at its height. Across the hotel, traditional materials are reimagined through contemporary techniques, from glass and stone to wood, metalwork, and textile-inspired surfaces. Heritage materials are brought into the present through modern fabrication and artistic experimentation. This glass work by @elismonsport was created using slumped glass, a process that reshapes and reinterprets the traditional medium. This and several of the artist’s other works feature throughout the collection.

When we founded ArtLink, we weren’t thinking about hospitality. We were thinking about how the art of our time could reach more people. It started with ArtLink@Sotheby ’s collaboration, helping establish a market for young and emerging artists, a segment that now represents 90% of the global art market. But we wanted to go further. We were looking for a way to bring art into everyday life, across cultures and geographies. That’s what led us to hospitality. Millions of people move through these spaces every day. They stay, live, and are often more open and receptive. In that state, art is absorbed differently. It creates connections to new places, cultures, and perspectives, allowing for encounters that might not otherwise happen. Today, hotels and cruise ships have become environments where contemporary art and local narratives reach people in a deeper, more lasting way. What began as a belief in accessibility has grown into a global practice rooted in cultural exchange. 🛳️ The artwork pictured was curated for the @hollandamericaline Rotterdam ship.

A defining feature of our @stregis.budapest art collection is its series of site-specific installations. Our curators collaborated with several artists to develop twelve commissioned installations, each shaped by the narrative of its space, the history of the palace, its architecture, and the identity of the St. Regis brand. Together, these works form a continuous dialogue across the hotel, ensuring each encounter feels intentional and deeply connected to place. View some of the highlights here.

We curated a symphony of gold and glass to echo throughout the art collection at @stregis.budapest , creating a gilded spectacle in the spirit of Europe’s golden age. Delicate gestures of line, texture, and reflection unfold across walls, ceilings, and surfaces, extending throughout the palace. This detail is from a mural by @redfield.dattner , created using the églomisé technique for the collection. Follow for artwork reveals soon!

🛠️ Behind the scenes of the installation action at The St. Regis Budapest. Our team installed a collection of nearly 400 artworks, comprising murals, sculptures, and 2D works, some involving complex, site-specific installations. We were also pleased to have teams from several of the artist studios on site, working alongside us to install their works and bring the collection to life.

'Timeless Confluence' Our curatorial narrative developed for the @stregis.budapest collection. 👇️ The art collection at the St. Regis Budapest transforms the hotel’s interiors into a contemporary experience of Europe’s golden age. Set within the historic palace of Archduke Joseph Karl of Austria and Princess Klotild, now revived as a hotel, the collection accompanies guests through poetic spaces that exist between intimacy and grandeur, where memory, ornament, and architecture converge. Guests are invited into a symphony of gold and glass, a softly gilded atmosphere where walls are traced with line and gesture. Delicate and fluid, the environment unfolds with quiet elegance. Through contemporary interpretations of traditional materials, each space becomes part of a narrative performance, where grand arrivals, intimate salons, and vibrant social life capture the spirit of a time when art, culture, and society were deeply intertwined. The collection reawakens the spirit of the palace in a dialogue of past and present for the modern global audience. Art by @tagliaferri.art

Congratulations to our client @rafflesboston on their intimate speakeasy, “Blind Duck,” named one of @bostonmagazine ’s Most Beautiful Bars in the February issue. 🥂 Inspired by Boston’s iconic Emerald Necklace—the historic chain of nine connected parks—ArtLink partnered with botanical artist @jamesroperart to develop a series of site-specific bespoke botanical wall works for the hotel. The result is an immersive environment deeply rooted in place, drawing the surrounding landscape into the interior experience. For the “Blind Duck,” ArtLink curators art-directed a bespoke 250 sqm custom wall and ceiling mural installation, using sensuous, layered hues to heighten the bar’s intimate, atmospheric mood. The work takes cues from the dramatic tonal depth of Old Masters such as Titian, Velázquez, and Caravaggio, echoing classical painterly traditions while reinterpreting them for a contemporary, after-dark setting. We’re proud to have helped shape the atmosphere behind this recognition.
