16 years ago today we were peeling up old flooring at our first Art Lab location on Mountain Ave. Today we moved out of Linden Street for the very last time. Truly the end of an era. Thank you to everyone who made the magic happen.

One last day… Saturday is the final day to see the collective Farewell Exhibit at Art Lab before she rides off into the sunset. Yes, that’s right @artlabfc is closing after 16 wonderful years of allowing artists in our community a platform and a space to express themselves! Theatre, music, painting, fashion, workshops, meetups, art building and community building! This week, after 16 years in Old Town Fort Collins, Art Lab is saying farewell. We celebrate a decade and a half of uplifting our local creative community with one heckuva party, and a Retrospective exhibition. Our founder and fairy godmother, @dawnputney had a few words to say about it all:
Over the past 16 years Art Lab has been filled with love and art and spirit and community. It has been filled by artists, creatives, inventors, innovators, musicians, dancers and joyful souls.
This is what the beating heart of a community looks like. Turning empty storefronts into art and community.
Together we created a space where it is safe to succeed wildly, or fail spectacularly.
Thank you for believing in what is possible. For guiding us toward our better selves.
