Make sure to secure Tristan “TK” Irving’s signature “Black Excellence” scarf during tonight’s match. Available at PTFC Authentics 👏💚
the passing of the Irving mantle is the transfer of anointing from one generation to the next. thank you Bishop Faithful Servant. job well done! love you Papa🫶🏾
just to hear you say “job well done”
second photo is of my grandpa trying to get his emotions under control. third photo is of him finally showing how happy he was. and then all of his friends he made tonight 😂thanks so much to @intisarabioto for seeing us and making this all happen for all of us!
“we are each other’s backyard” is about the safety black kids built for each other before we understood how rare it was. before the world labeled us, the backyard was where cousins, neighbors, and friends became family. laughing loud, imagining freely, just existing.

started the day in church, left full from brunch at @theeastpdx_ , then ended the night watching michael jackson like it was a family function 😂 real black mother’s day vibes. my mom still making sure i’m straight the same way she did when i was little handing me offering money before service. wouldn’t trade it for nothing ❤️
turned my timbers scarf into a limited edition run of ten 200-piece puzzle. each one finishes at 12” x 12” and can be framed once completed. sold out🤙🏾⚽️🏟️🖼️
“ball don’t lie”
growing up in portland during the jail blazers era, basketball felt like chaos, pride, and identity all at once, and Rasheed Wallace arguing with refs was part of the city’s voice. the netflix documentary brought all of that back! the energy, the tension, and what rip city really felt like in that moment. i built this piece using pop-tart wrappers, lego, ritz crackers and pokémon letters as childhood nostalgia turned into language. “ball don’t lie,” “rip city,” and “zers” hold that memory of a team and a city that never stayed quiet.

i’ve avoided making work like this because i’ve seen how it gets used, especially as a black artist in portland. not everything made for us stays with us.
thought it’d be nice to revisit this piece now that the laws that protected our voice are being weakened.
John Lewis, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott-King, Rosa Parks, together with my generation. they marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge for a voice that couldn’t be denied.

“submerged in grace”
baptism has always meant death and rebirth in Christ, but for enslaved black people, it also became a quiet resistance, a reminder that their souls belonged to God, not man. the water held both scripture and survival.
