Story sketches from Sully and Beet! 💌 A series @rkings11 and I pitched at @ottawa.animationfestival ‘s Mercury Pitch This! competition in 2024 💕 The story follows Sully, a mail carrier and his best friend Beet the pigeon. Together, they travel through their town, delivering mail and finding solutions for their fantastical residents! ✨ We were so lucky to have @peteoswald as a mentor who helped us make our pitch stronger. I’m so excited to share “Glimpses of Tomorrow” by @sapherapeters and me! 💫 Created for the Susan Fennell Youth Hub, this piece was designed to bring warmth and inspiration to the youth who use the space every day. Through a series of interactive art workshops, we connected with over 40+ youth by creating art together, listening to their stories and using their insights to inspire key elements in the mural. Each panel acts as a window into the hub, featuring characters in joyful, relaxed moments like reading, gaming, commuting, cooking, and making art. By incorporating traditional painting with 3D digital panels, we wanted to reflect the innovative and imaginative spirit of the community. Through this piece, we want to celebrate individuality, connection and the limitless potential of future generations! 💞 Collaborating with Saphera from start to finish was an absolute joy! ♥️ I loved seeing how our styles blended and evolved throughout the process. Etta and Otto and Russell and James by Emma Hooper @waitressforthebees is championed by Heartland’s Michelle Morgan @michellemorgan_ on #CanadaReads 2025. In the novel Etta and Otto and Russell and James, 82-year-old Etta decides to walk 3,232 kilometres to Halifax from her farm in Saskatchewan with little more than a rusty rifle and a talking coyote named James for company. Her early life with her husband Otto and their friend Russell are revealed in flashbacks to the Great Depression and the Second World War. My first ever window mural for this year’s #WindowWonderlandTO at @torontojunction !! ❄️ ✨ This piece was so fun to create because @atthedentistjunction had one request—no teeth 🦷 which gave me the freedom to go crazy with the concept. My inspiration came from a neon ice cream sign above their back entrance. This sparked the idea of a lighthearted, post-apocalyptic future where animals pilot mecha robots and tiny bug creatures zoom around on hoverboards. 🪲✨ Each mural is paired with an animation using Artivive, and mine will be brought to life by the amazing @hildamotion ! Curious Paws ~ Mississauga 50th Anniversary Projection Exhibition 🐈 ✨ 🐾 This summer, I had the amazing opportunity to be a mentee with @avainmotion for a projection mapping show at the Winter Magic and Light Up the Square event! ❄️ I created an animation that will be projected onto the side of the Hazel McCallion Central Library alongside talented artists this weekend!
