Well friends, our time together last night at SUNDAY SERVICE was hella fun! Such a strange and beautiful little bit of raucous reverence. Deep gratitude to all our sisters and brothers and siblings who made it out and for your generosity of spirit. It’s gonna feel proper good to cut the food bank a check! And also such wholehearted thanks to all of the artists and volunteers who made it possible! I hope you guys feel aglow in your hearts because you’re good people. Based on turnout and overwhelmingly positive reactions and feedback, there’s probably no way around doing another one. Not sure when or where but I have faith it’ll happen. It is an honor to present an auction of the collection of Marjorie “Marge” Levy (1943-2025) at District Auction (@districtauction ). Marge was a lifelong artist with a concentration in ceramics dating back to the 1970’s. Her illustrious career included positions as professor of ceramics at Purdue University, Dean of the School of Art & Design at University of Michigan, Executive Director of the Pilchuck Glass School (1991-2000), and in retirement was a staunch supporter and champion for Seattle arts through her associations with Pottery Northwest, Artist Trust, Henry Art Gallery, NCECA, and the Seattle Art Museum. Marge had an incredible impact on countless artists over her lifetime and her collection is a truly remarkable survey of talented artists working across craft mediums in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
