Update on an old piece. Having to relearn how to process my infrared work. A step up in speed and ease of use, Lightroom doesn’t quite offer me the colour manipulation I need to truly fine tune in IR. For that, I need to open up Photoshop, make the desired edits in there, and then reopen in Lr, fine tune some details, but then light balance is thrown off AND MY CAVEMAN BRAIN CAN’T JUGGLE APPS LIKE THIS 😭
Anyway, I’m still pretty happy with the new edit of this photo of the Quirang.

Trying to salvage this (massively) overexposed shot presented a fun opportunity to really get into the mixer and have a play around to find a good colour composition.
So far I’ve only presented IR captures in monotone, the dramatic effect of which I like, but perhaps I’ve been missing the relationship between light and colour off the visible spectrum. Or maybe I’m just overthinking. It’s something to ponder at least 💭

HSE Scuba: done. No pressure, no diamonds.
Pretty big personal milestone! About four years since I was neck-deep in a sunken plane fuselage on the set of No Way Up and a safety diver convinced me to give diving a go. Didn’t think I’d end up taking it this far.
