live at outrebleu, february 2026 𖦹 warm memories from my first time playing in paris, joining the lovely @outrebleu family for an azure day-into-night along the outskirts of the city. nestled in the airy grounds of @la_cite_fertile and among the welcome company of friends and strangers alike, i felt complete freedom to take things inward for a deep dive into the sunset, and i’m so thankful for everyone who came along for the ride. i hope this set reflects my utmost admiration for the outrebleu crew, their far-reaching and thoughtful curation, and our shared love of events that leave one feeling restored. you can listen to the set on the outrebleu sc alongside artwork by @margolavign merci beaucoup and thank you!

a special responsibility to play for this institution and team whose longstanding dedication and unwavering influence has shaped so much of our scene, and so much of me personally.

Artist Spotlight: Aaron J Aaron is a special artist whom we've been lucky to watch grow from the very start of their career and the founding of Sure Thing. Prior to becoming a renowned mix series, Sure Thing was known as a forward-thinking club night. It started in San Francisco in 2015, around the same time that we began producing Parameter events. We frequently booked Aaron and co-produced a number of events together between 2015 and 2017. It was very clear from the start that Aaron had a natural talent for DJing and the work ethic to perfect their craft. Sure Thing events soon expanded to Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, and eventually Boston, hosting a number of artist debuts while also gaining traction as an online mix series. It has since amassed a large following and featured mixes from the likes of Svreca, Takaaki Itoh, Timnah, and many more. In 2019, Sure Thing evolved into a label, with a steady stream of well-received releases from Polygonia, Archivist, Simone Bauer, and more. Over the last decade, Aaron has earned a reputation as one of the best DJs in North America and was dubbed by Resident Advisor as one of “techno’s best-kept secrets”. His masterful sense of pacing and emotional acuity as a DJ are inextricably linked, as evidenced by standout festival performances at Sustain-Release, Monument, Draaimolen, Ratherlost, and Paral•lel. We're excited to welcome him back to San Francisco, where his inspiring musical journey began. Aaron will perform in the main hall of SVN West on Saturday, May 16th. live at ratherlost nyd ✺ returning to @ratherlost_ to perform the new years day closing was a rare privilege, an opportunity to push beyond my limits in a way i’ve never faced before. stepping back into the familiar embrace of that booth filled me with such resolve, to take what was built so elegantly over the evening and converge upon a moment unmoored from time and place. to reach as far inward as possible and arrive together at the core of it all.

thank you to the entire ratherlost team for their trust and care once again, to all dear friends who travelled from near and far for their love, to everyone who stayed with me until the last moment. the recording stopped before the end of the set so i recreated the rest at home, hopefully as faithfully as possible, to share this dear and everlasting memory in its entirety. thank you!

After leaving a lasting impression at Easter’s with a truly sublime set, we knew we wanted to invite New York’s Aaron J back for the closing. We’re excited to welcome him as the final chord of our new year’s gathering. live at ratherlost ✺ some nights burn themselves into memory like a flash in the mind. playing and dancing at ratherlost was unforgettable, to have felt the pulse of the room with such intensity, quickening and so alive during those few and precious hours. thank you to the @ratherlost_ team for their trust and heartfelt care, to @dypere.cc for the stunning artwork, and to all who came and shared this moment, in and out of focus together. recorded at @lofi.amsterdam this past easter with so many dear friends in view, among a lineup of such incredible artists and deepest inspirations, an enduring dream.

for melbourne deepcast, a mix about finding one’s center amidst the storm. when @melbournedeepcast invited me onto their series i knew it was an opportunity to finally record in earnest a mix which has lived in my head for many years, one inspired by my most formative listening experiences and shaped by the ways that music can nurture our inner world. this mix includes only music released a decade ago or longer, each a reminder of the gentle beauty of listening and letting go, if only for a moment. it’s very different than any mix i’ve made before, yet so close to my emotional core, and i hope provides some insight into the paths i choose to take when i perform. i’m so thankful for the opportunity to participate in such a storied and well-loved series, one which has hosted some of the finest and most knowledgeable selectors of our time. i hope you enjoy it! artwork by @boser_tritt
