A little video I made with @bjork for @pitchfork . After my call with her and @vidarlogi I found myself bored on a Friday night so I googled "mushroom walk nyc." It turned out that the next morning @newyorkmyc was having a mushroom hunt in Pelham Bay. I left the party, woke up at 8, biked all the way up, and learned all about fungi and slime molds. I also got the find of the day: a cicada carcass that was decomposing from a parodistic fungus. I took everything I learned and created the visuals for the Björk story with the Pitchfork creative team. Now I'm crazy about 🍄
I always thought these kind of videos were staged. I was biking down Greene blasting Eric Dolphy’s Hat and Bread. Ted stopped me and questioned my existence. I put it plainly. Ted continued to serve on the basis of capital and I volleyed retorts on the basis of humanity. It was a real rally. Hope you agree!
