I set out for a PB today… and fell just short sadly - I gave everything I had out there today to be honest & I think my hr can attest to that šŸ’” My travel to the race start from west to E10 was longer than I was on course but the crowd, energy & connecting with so many others who love this sport made every step worth it. Incredible day out! 1:31:08 Chip Hackney you did not disappoint, scrap that actually those inclines got me good šŸ˜‚

No one speaks about this…post marathon your body & nervous system is screaming! Recovery is so important to allow your body to reset. Comment ā€œrecoverā€ to find out more about @pulsetto.tech āš”ļø It’s been a real help since London Marathon in allowing me to feel normal again & get back to my training. I can’t wait to race again as I really felt I really struggled in London so let’s see how the body holds up & hopefully I can do something special šŸ™ŒšŸ½

Sometimes in victory you can feel defeatā€¦šŸ„‡ It’s been really hard for me to process everything that happened yesterday…. What a special city, running this race made me feel so proud to be from here. On one hand I feel so accomplished and on the other such shame & defeat…everything that could’ve went wrong, did. Thank you for every ounce of support I received on course but also so many special messages too šŸ«¶šŸ½ No excuses, many lessons learned & consistency will prevail.

What I eat in a day - London Marathon Race Prep šŸ Here is what my plate is looking like Thursday & Friday aiming for 6-700g of carbs & then the day before (Saturday) will be slightly less at 450g but meals staying the same. Previously I’ve felt very heavy & so full on race day (didn’t enjoy that) and prefer this way personally. SAVE THIS POST IF YOU’RE RUNNING LONDON or even for your next race šŸ¤žšŸ½

This was hard to post… I was looking for clips in my camera roll earlier for another ā€œrunning editā€ & came across this. watching it back was hard. it really just shows what you can do when you tell yourself enough is enough.
