INNER RADIANCE What are the hidden worlds within us? Can we find new ways to perceive them and make them real? How can we de-clinisise and de-pathologise representations of that part of us which is hidden beneath the !esh. How can excavating the unseen layers of the human organism permit us to better internalize our human commonalities and connections? Inner Radiance approaches these questions through a fist-of-it’s-kind performance in which live medical ultrasound will be used to generate 3d volumes with which the dancers will interact; choreographically performing with their own interior selves. Through this piece the dancers will become part of the visual design as their scans are translated into forms not only physically representative but also abstracted through exchange of temporal and physical dimensions. By performatively engaging with medical technology. beyond it’s diagnostic contexts, this performance presents the wonder of the human organism absent concerns of pathology, and the visual boundary of the !esh to inspire considerations on how the biases of later frequently a,ect the care of the former. “I am rooted, but I flow.” In April, we continued the journey that began during our January research residency at @redsapata in Linz, expanding it further through a performative residency hosted by the mesmerizing @plum_yard Švestkový dvůr in Malovice 🙏❤️ Our time there unfolded through the study of scientific texts and literature, alongside long, immersive sessions exploring the dis/connection between movement and live sound. We focused on interaction, deep listening, sharing, and a sense of co-being — deepening our artistic practice through presence and exchange. How can we hold space for uncertainty without collapsing? How can we rebuild trust — in ourselves, in each other, in the unknown? Through the metaphors of migration and nesting, the work explores how we search for safety — not only in physical shelters, but also in gestures, relationships, memory, and myth. It responds to a widespread sense of displacement — geographical, emotional, and existential — that shapes much of our contemporary experience. This phase became a space for rooting — in place, in body, in collective presence — while allowing the work to remain fluid, open, and in transformation. Die diesjährige Gewinnerin des Austrian Amadeus Music Awards in der Kategorie FM4 scheut nicht vor harten Kontrasten zurück, sie zelebriert sie. Mit „Sheepman“ (2025) legt die 21-Jährige ihr selbstproduziertes Debütalbum vor – eine Gratwanderung zwischen märchenhaftem Eskapismus und feministischen Aufschrei. Inmitten mystischer Wesen, Hingabe und weiblicher Lust erzählt sie von struktureller Unterdrückung, vom Ringen um Raum und Sichtbarkeit als Frau. Musikalisch hüllt die Songwriterin aus dem Salzkammergut poetische Texte in die dreckigen Schallkleider der 90er-Jahre. ~~~ In Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Musikerin Rojin Sharafi und den beiden Künstlerinnen Ariathney Coyne und Lynn Mayya ist ein audiovisuelles Werk entstanden, das sich den Themen Begehren und Scham widmet, indem diese musikalische und visuell erfahrbar gemacht werden. Präsentiert wird das Werk im Lunzer Saal unter Nutzung der Deckeninstallation aus Lichtstreifen „Media Lu(n)z”. Am Boden liegend entsteht für die Besucher:innen der Eindruck eines einzigartigen Licht-Klang-Raums, der sie vollständig umgibt und berührt, der ihre Sinne wie auch ihre Emotionen anspricht und herausfordert. Direkt im Anschluss übernimmt Lynn Mayya als DJ und führt die musikalische Reise fort, während Ariathney Coyne mit Live-Visuals die Atmosphäre weiter verdichtet.
