I am unapologetically myself - queer, autistic, ADHD, and learning how to do all that with chronic tiredness and fibromyalgia.
I had so many people from all generations come up to talk to me afterwards, and hearing what it meant to see me up there being fully and authentically myself is something I will carry for a long time.
Feeling grateful, a little overwhelmed, and completely lifted by the love in that crowd.

Can you be spellbinding and living with chronic pain?
Last week I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is a chronic pain disorder characterised by widespread pain, fatigue, and brain fog. I'm also being tested for arthritis. Both this and fibro run in the family too.
I'm in good singing company though - Lady Gaga is probably the most prominent singer with "fibro", Sinead O'Connor too. Between the tears I paint on and the dramatic make-up and poses, I might well be part Born This Way, part Nothing Compares 2 U myself.
I am slowly learning about pacing myself whilst simultaneously keeping moving, how to relieve pain, and following my body's cue to sit down - meaning during longer sets you might see me take a tactical seat here and there, including at Pride next week.
But every queen needs a throne, right? 👑
