Space is already part of how we move, every day. From daily commutes to emergency response, mobility increasingly relies on precise and reliable positioning. With #Galileo, Europe’s global navigation system, this precision enables safer roads, more efficient routes, and reduced congestion, helping save time, lower emissions, and improve everyday travel. It also supports the development of new mobility services, from shared transport to connected fleets, all powered by accurate and trustworthy geolocation. For emergency services, this accuracy can be critical, enabling faster interventions and better coordination when it matters most. At Arianespace, we are proud to launch the Galileo satellites that make these applications possible. Because space is not only about reaching orbit. It’s about improving life on Earth. #LaunchingAmbitions @europeanspaceagency @space4eu @ohb_se @cnes_france @centrespatialguyanais @arianegroup

On May 14, 2009, Ariane 5 lifted off with a mission to look back in time. On board: Herschel and Planck, two of ESA’s most ambitious space observatories, designed to explore the origins of the Universe. Herschel, the largest infrared space telescope ever launched at the time, revealed how stars and galaxies are born. Planck mapped the cosmic microwave background with unprecedented precision, offering a glimpse of the Universe just after the Big Bang. A dual launch. A unique challenge. With both satellites heading toward the Sun–Earth L2 point, nearly 1.5 million kilometers away, Ariane 5 once again demonstrated its ability to deliver complex scientific missions with precision and reliability. Together, Herschel and Planck have transformed our understanding of the cosmos, from the formation of galaxies to the structure of the early Universe. A mission that reminds us: Space is not only about reaching farther, but about seeing deeper. 👉 Which space mission has most changed your understanding of the Universe? #LaunchingAmbitions @arianegroup @europeanspaceagency @cnes_france @centrespatialguyanais

From liftoff to insight A year ago, on April 29, Arianespace successfully launched ESA’s Biomass satellite aboard Vega C, from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. A mission designed to better understand one of Earth’s most vital ecosystems: our forests. With its unique P-band radar, Biomass is able to see through the forest canopy to measure how much carbon is stored in trees, and how it evolves over time. Because forests matter. They absorb around 8 billion tonnes of CO₂ every year, playing a key role in regulating our planet’s climate. By delivering Biomass into Sun-synchronous orbit, Arianespace contributes to a mission that will help scientists better understand the carbon cycle, monitor deforestation, and refine climate models. And there is a powerful connection with French Guiana. Home to one of the richest forest ecosystems on Earth (the Amazon rainforest) French Guiana embodies the very challenges Biomass is helping to address: preserving biodiversity, understanding carbon storage, and protecting forests that are essential to the planet’s balance. A successful launch. And a mission that turns space into knowledge, for Earth. #LaunchingAmbitions @esa_earth  @avio_spa  @airbus_space  @cnes_france @centrespatialguyanais

📸 Crédit photo cover : ESA - M. A successful second launch for Amazon Leo with Ariane 6. 🚀 On April 30, 2026, Arianespace successfully launched and deployed 32 Amazon Leo satellites into low Earth orbit aboard Ariane 6 in its most powerful Ariane 64 configuration, from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The mission, designated VA268 and LE-02 by Amazon Leo, was completed successfully in 1 hour and 54 minutes, with all satellites accurately delivered to orbit. This second Ariane 6 launch for Amazon Leo marks another key milestone in the deployment of the constellation, within a series of 18 missions. With this success, Ariane 6 confirms its full operational capability and its ability to meet the demands of large-scale constellation deployments. Following satellite separation, the upper stage performed a controlled deorbiting maneuver, contributing to responsible space operations. 🌍 A new step forward for Europe’s heavy-lift launcher. ✨ Discover more in our press release: link in bio. #LaunchingAmbitions #Ariane6 #VA268 @amazonleo_ @arianegroup @europeanspaceagency @cnes_france @centrespatialguyanais
