Located along a steep mountain range parallel to the north-western coast of Mallorca, the Serra de Tramuntana reflects centuries of human adaptation.
The area is characterised by agricultural terraces and interconnected waterworks, including mills, as well as dry-stone constructions and traditional farms.
With the Copernicus Programme World Heritage Hub, developed by EUSPA, sites like Serra de Tramuntana can be monitored through an interactive data viewer and tailored resources.

This week, our colleagues are in Bonaire engaging with local communities and stakeholders to explore how EU Space technologies support disaster risk management across island environments.
Earth Day invites a broader perspective.
Through a collaboration with @space4eu Manteco explored how satellite intelligence can help monitor biodiversity and better understand environmental impact.
Using Copernicus Programme data across two contrasting Tuscan territories â the textile district of Montemurlo and the natural landscape of Casentino â the project transformed imagery into actionable insight, bringing space technology closer to everyday sustainability decisions.
Because what we cannot see, we cannot improve.
Happy Earth Day.
