New #techno music alert! Pr0xima - Compulsory w/ remixes by Aria Bare and JAK is now available. Link in bio!
More info: @pr0xima_music is a queer artist, producer and live performer based in Portland, Oregon, known for boldly playing with listeners' expectations. The Compulsory EP exemplifies her electrifying approach to techno with two distinctive originals, Compulsory and Parity.
Compulsory is pure machine music loaded with grinding rhythms, modulating percussion, and distinctive change-ups.
The title track is remixed by Seattle-based producer and live performer @aria_bare , who delivers an absolutely slamming, groove-heavy rework.
Parity is an ever-evolving percussive techno beast with big modulating drums, big surprises and even bigger energy.
SubSensory label boss @jak_subsensory rounds out the EP with his Parity Drum Edit, reworking the original's compelling percussion in a simplified arrangement.
As the structures and institutions that upheld the old world begin to crumble, you hear the echoes of a song from far, far away. What begins as a quiet swan song, rumbles and quakes into a howling clarion call from the Earth. We heed her call and gather 'round the cinder and ash to rekindle the dying flame and together, hand in hand, we set our hearts on fire. The fire feeds and nourishes us as we construct a ritual of song and dance--a ritual to call forth a new world from the ashes of what once was. We dance to future possibilities and liberation. We revel for the homes we have lost and the homes that we will find. We call this ritual RE:BIRTH.

Extremely excited to be releasing Bunny Fluffer! Itās out today on streaming platforms and bandcamp, where you can even buy a vinyl pressing of it!
Itās a fully independent release, and Iām extremely grateful to have gotten the wonderfully talented @hitsujigoods to create the art. Sheās been incredibly encouraging through the whole process, and Iām proud of what we made.
I pushed myself this year to create a dance floor focused, tight EP that kept the energy of my live hardware sets. Iād record and extract bits and pieces of those sets and their sound, layer the analog noise on top of itself and explore that texture, make it breathe with the giant kick drum and percussion. Every sound you hear on the record was created with the modular or my drum machine.
Iām so proud to have gotten this out into the world, thanks to everyone who helped me along the way with this project. And I hope you all enjoy it :)
hi I have a new ep coming out and thereās VINYL this time
itās an entirely self funded project, itās taken a TON of work, but im extremely proud of whatās come out of it. Shoutout to @hitsujigoods for the adorable art and for helping me out so much through the entire process.
You can preorder the vinyl on my bandcamp, as well as listen to one of the tracks off the EP!
