We’re starting the month of June with a fantastic performance: Noelia Sinkunas’s quartet. Together with Carolina Rodríguez on violin, Nacho Santos on bandoneon and Cristian Basto on double bass, the argentine pianist and composer Noelia Sinkunas will be presenting her last album „Unión y perseverancia“, where she proposes a dialogue between tango, chamamé and improvisation, seeking to expand -and even challenge- the limits of Argentine popular music. And to kick things off, we’ll start the night with a set by me, alongside the incredible Chris Sergeant on bass, piano, and guitar, and Leo Gerstner on drums. Amazing musicians, amazing people. A real pleasure to be able to share some music with them. Nos vemos ahí? Tuesday 2.06 Rotbart @rotbart_rixdorf (Böhmische Str.43, 12055) Doors: 8pm / Concert: 8:30pm Ticket: suggested price - 10-15€ ABOUT NOELIA SINKUNAS Noelia Sinkunas is an acclaimed Argentine pianist, composer, and producer known for her innovative blend of tango and chamamé with contemporary styles. Making Waves #20 What if the voice on the other side of the phone was someone reading you a poem? In a time marked by displacement, violence, and war, how can we speak of lives so often reduced to their suffering? This edition brings together visual artist Hoda Afshar and poet Ghayath Almdahoun, whose practices turn to poetry and beauty as a means of restoring presence, dignity, and complexity to the dehumanized body. Moving between language and image, they ask: why a poem? What can it hold that other forms cannot? And why do we continue to place our trust in the poet? Hoda Afshar will present two of her video works, „Undone“ and an excerpt from „Remain“, alongside a poetry reading by Ghayath Almdahoun featuring his poem „If We Lived in a Virtual World“. The session will be followed by a conversation between the two artists, reflecting on the role of poetic language in confronting injustice, and on beauty not as escape but as a form of resistance; one that insists on humanity where it is most denied. The discussion will also open onto questions of collectivity and solidarity, exploring how shared practices and entangled experiences might help us navigate, resist, and make sense of the systems of violence shaping our world. There are artists who, if you leave them in an empty room with just a chair and a microphone, work their magic. @florenciaruizmusica is one of them. 💫 On April 4, she’ll be performing a selection of songs from several of her albums, as a solo artist. Before the concert, we’ll chat about a few things we’re not going to tell you now (but if you come, you’ll find out). The talk will last approximately 20 minutes and will be in Spanish. But if needed, we’ll try to do a sort of freestyle translation. Just ask—what have you got to loose? In summary: April 4 8:00–8:30 p.m. @bardo_projektraum (Jessnerstr. 33, 10247) Admission: €8 (reduced) / €12 (regular) *Reduced price: students, seniors, beneficiaries of social assistance. See you there. 📷 Nora Lezano

🔊MEET GOLSANA SHENASAEI 🔊 @golsana.cello is a classically trained cellist with over 12 years of experience performing in orchestras, theaters, and festivals. She has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Tehran Philharmonic Orchestra, Austro-Iranian Symphony Orchestra (AISO), Nilper Symphonic Orchestra, and Tehran Contemporary. 🎧In recent years, she has expanded her creative focus toward sonic exploration and field recording. By incorporating live looping, unconventional sound sources, and digital processing, she experiments with sound and shapes sonic narratives. Her performance “Memory is a Place, Memory is a Time” is a live electroacoustic performance that explores how sound shapes our sense of place and our memory of time. Using collected field recordings, cello, recorder flute, electronics, and spoken word, the performance unfolds in a series of sonic fragments. Each section draws from a different urban environment. “These locations become more than settings—they become layers, memories and time capsules. The performer responds to these sounds live, creating a dialogue between presence and absence”. 24TH MARCH 2025 20 HS 📍Location Bardo Projektraum, Jessnerstraße 33, 10247 Berlin 🎟️TICKETS ONLINE by Eventbrite 🔺RADAR Experimental brings together FLINTA artists exploring themes of identity, migration, and collectivity through sound and image as forms of resistance.
