About solo set
In his solo set, Gustavo Obligado plays saxophone with a real-time sampler/sequencer, using both live recordings and samples of the instrument, along with effect pedals, extended techniques, and preparations. This combination expands the sonic possibilities of the saxophone, creating atmospheric compositions where the instrument merges with electronic textures. The sonic landscapes explored in these compositions are titled phenomenas, ephemeral manifestations aimed at capturing the complexity of the wind.
