Archana Prasad, Founder of BeFantastic, Gooey.AI and Jaaga, explored the evolving meaning of originality in AI cultures alongside panelists Gerfried Stocker, Alida Sun and Shrujana at the Unpacking Originality with AI panel at India Art Fair. The conversation highlighted a powerful convergence: originality isn’t about creating something from nothing, it’s about designing systems of intention.
Human creativity has always emerged from constraint, context, access, lived experience. AI, trained on vast datasets, appears limitless. Yet without lived constraint, its outputs can feel flattened, homogenised. What surfaced across geographies and disciplines was a shared recognition: AI is not just a tool, it is cultural infrastructure. And originality today lives in how we frame problems, curate data, and responsibly shape the systems that will define culture and future memory. Deeply creative. Deeply political.
If you’re in Delhi come on over to the India Art Fair. I’m speaking on a panel of stellar folks on Unpacking “Originality” with AI. It’s on the 6th at 1pm. It’ll be great to see you there.
