The award-winning Tom Sharp Jazz Orchestra began life over a decade ago as a rehearsal band, and is now one of the most respected big bands in the north of England. Following the release of their album ‘Daybreak Express’ earlier this year, the band are excited to premiere their most recent project, an exploration of the great Charles Mingus record
‘Let My Children Hear Music’. With an enlarged line-up, and after some tireless transcription from saxophone queen Anna Chandler-King, the band are excited to share nigh on a year’s worth of work unpicking this dense work.
