Arcadia Invitational: Saturday Invitational Session
The 2026 Arcadia Invitational delivered one of the most anticipated nights in high school track and field history, as Saturday’s Invitational Session brought record-breaking performances, U.S. No. 1 marks, and unforgettable moments under the lights of Salter Stadium. 🔥
In front of a packed crowd, Jackson Spencer of Herriman High School made history in the Boys 3200m, running 8:31.80 to break the National Federation High School 3200m national record. Spencer led an incredible 29 athletes under the 9-minute barrier in one of the deepest and fastest distance races ever seen at Arcadia, contributing to the 55 total athletes under the mark for the weekend.
Quincy Wilson, an Olympic gold medalist hailing from Bullis School, blazed to a 45.48 in the Boys 400m, shattering Michael Norman’s 10-year-old meet record. The girls of Rosary opened the Invitational Session with a California 4x100m state record, running 44.23 to also secure a U.S. No. 2 mark. The Servite boys followed, breaking their own California state record in the 4x100m and clocking the 4th fastest time in U.S. history with a 39.70.
In the field events, Jaslene Massey of Aliso Niguel High School bested the Arcadia Invitational Girls Shot Put record by a foot, earning a U.S. No. 1 mark with a throw of 53’2”.
From historic depth to record breaking speed, the Saturday invitational session at the Arcadia Invitational proved why it remains the “Home of National Records.” Congratulations to all athletes who competed in an unforgettable Arcadia Invitational weekend!
