"Orphan Source" came about when I was reading a lot about nuclear accidents (as one does), an "orphan source" is a self-contained radioactive source that is no longer under the control of the authorities. The ominous soundscape of the song with its alien sounding high pitched acid line is the soundtrack for my imaginary nuclear catastrophe drama...

Field service of my large scale light installation Lost Beacons @plxplxplx
The installation is based on upcycled aircraft warning lights from wind mills that are modified to accept power tool batteries as energy source. The lamps are synced by GPS to achieve perfect synchronisation. The installation is mobile and reconfigured according to light conditions and festival visitor interaction.
Yesterday was the trial run and today we go live, expect proper night shots later!
