Landscapes of Libya in the 1960s-80s photographed by my Grandfather
I recently developed some of the many slides my Dad brought back from his childhood home in Libya last year, these are my favourites.
My grandfather had a passion for photography, and I think this handful of pictures capture an interesting and surprising insight into life in Tripoli at that time - I thought I’d share for others to enjoy too 🇱🇾
Personal fav is Jdeda with Frankenstein at the end circa 1975 👹
Huge thank you to everyone who came to our SOLD OUT show last Thursday!
There was such a fun and open energy in the crowd, and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did.
Massive thank you to @missmash___ for starting the night off on such a high, and to our headliner @zagerlat for keeping us energised and dancing for 2 hours straight 🪩
Super grateful for everyone who also supported our fundraising efforts and bought an item or donated to support UNRWA - together we raised over £500! 🇵🇸
Thank you @adamcreatesfire for all your support from start to finish :)

Honoured to have our friend (& Serbian sister 👯♀️) @missmash___ kicking the night off on the 22nd of Jan from 11-12!
Being big fans of Masha’s, we’ve had the pleasure of attending her sets in Bristol over the years. Her vibrant selections have always introduced us to new & groovy music - you can expect a range of genres from YugoFunk to Highlife.
She’s been a regular resident at Bristol’s Love Inn, Balaami & Void radio, and appeared on Zag’s YouTube platform My Analog Journal … her set will be a must-see.
Get your tix, only a few left on first release 💽 xx
Bristol! We are so excited to present to you My Analog Journal’s very own, Zag Erlat.
Bringing his carefully curated vinyl collection to the Jam Jar this January, expect a night of percussive grooves, disco classics, and all kinds of musical gems from the early 70s to the late 90s.
Istanbul-born and now London-based, Zag is a DJ, producer and broadcaster, best known for being the person behind the YouTube channel @myanalogjournal .
MAJ invites guest selectors from around the world to showcase the highlights of their extensive record collections. The channel has grown to become one of the largest video-mix series on the platform, introducing avid listeners such as ourselves to much appreciated fresh and undiscovered tracks.
Join us on the 22nd of January for a guaranteed night of the highest quality records that Zag will be spinning for us from 12-2, followed by Arabesque who will be closing the night with our current favourite deeply funky tracks from SWANA & beyond. xx
