Get into the mind of the Director of Photography @tommartin_dop as he explains his vision for the cinematography of Starboy.

1 year from the completion of Starboy. Didn't even realise it until Google started propping up photos. Crazy how something can start as a thought then turn into an idea then a pitchdeck, then a script and finally a completed film being played in UK festivals and abroad. There were a lot of obstacles and problems we had to overcome to finish this film, which I might reflect on in the future but I'm happy with what the team managed to create out of a tight situation. The film is on its festival run at the moment, having been selected in around 45% of the Festivals we submitted to [apparently this is a good number] and we're looking to have it played in an educational setting as well. It's connecting with the right people so let's spread it even more. A lot of lessons learned which I'll take with me into the future.
