In summer 2021, @longjourneyfilm and I set out to shoot a spec commercial for Ford with the help of many wonderful friends (can't believe it's been over four years already!).
While digging through the footage recently, I found a bunch of beautiful moments that never made the cut, so I turned them into a little 2025 re-edit.

"Berlin – Fragmente von Damals" (short-doc, 2026) (1/3)
The goal that I’ve set for myself for 2026 is: just shoot more.
Don’t worry about budgets or restraints as much, don’t wait for permission to create something that moves you, and in turn (hopefully) also moves others.
Just get out there with a camera like you used to, maybe grab a bunch of friends, and see what you can come up with.
So I grabbed a small mirrorless camera and some (very) old Pentax glass and revisited the places that remind me of our family trips to Berlin to visit my grandparents when I was a kid.
The result is the short, personal five-minute documentary “Berlin – Fragmente von Damals” (“Fragments of the Past”) about my connection to this city – that I honestly don’t quite know what to do with yet.
For now, here's a first batch of some of my favorite stills from the doc.
