I didn’t "quit" I just had to hit the reset button. 🔋
My last post here was on January 16th. Since then, my grid has been quiet, but my life has been anything but.
The truth? As a mum running two businesses, I hit a wall. Dealing with a flare-up of Adenomyosis and the resulting severe anemia meant my "battery" was sitting at 1%. I had to make the tough call to protect my energy for my family and my existing wedding clients at @april.ridge.photography
I’m sharing this because I know you’ve been there, too. Maybe it isn’t health for you. Maybe it’s a toddler who won’t sleep, a busy season in your "main" job, or just the sheer mental load of trying to do it all. 💫SURPRISE SURPRISE! 💫 // Wedding ceremonies do not have to be predictable! I know many people feel have sat through what seems to be the same wedding ceremony many times. This is definitely not the case with wedding celebrant led ceremonies.
This lovely couple are so full of energy and an absolute joy to work with. A few days before the ceremony they decided they simply couldn’t choose who their witnesses would be ….so we opted for a little surprise.
We decided to plant secret envelopes under two of the seats and the lucky recipients were to have the honour of signing their wedding certificate. I must admit my heart sank a little bit when I saw there were seat covers - where there’s a will there’s a way! 💌
Before the signing of the wedding certificate, I invited all the guests look under their seat to see if they had the secret envelope. We ended up with two wonderful witnesses. We then conducted the signing accompanied by the amazing @samlewisband who invited the guests to singalong to one of my faves… McFly’s ‘It’s all about you’. It was such an amazing vibe. 🎶
There are so many elements you can weave into a Celebrant led wedding ceremony. You may come to me with ideas, but I’ve got plenty to offer you too! 😍
