After hearing so many curiosities and misunderstandings about China,
I began to see myself as an alien —
a being constantly projected onto, imagined, and misunderstood.
I listened to those absurd yet sometimes humorous speculations,
and decided to write a letter to my fellow aliens on another planet,
to share and exchange our experiences:
how humans imagine “aliens,”
and how they, in turn, imagine “China.”

In The Smallest Print, I created a music score cheating glove based on the Guidonian Hand, where musical knowledge is mapped onto the body.
Instead of printing a score, I embedded it into a glove—turning the hand into a surface for reading, memorising, and secretly performing music. In the textile workshop, I produced a minimal plotter-cut engraving as a record of this system, reducing notation to its smallest possible trace.
