It’s that time of year again. The dust beckons. We are in planning mode for Burning Man 2026 now. Apotheneum will return to playa with a new lineup of nearly two dozen artists doing live and pre-recorded sets, from Vibro-acoustics to aerialists to haunting vocals and unusual instruments. 2026 promises to be a memorable year for our fans of our installation. The Apotheneum Experience is a Premium Art Basel event designed to merge luxury, culture, and art by delivering an ultra premium immersive experience • @apotheneum This collaboration integrates Apotheneum as the centerpiece of Miami’s premier cultural week, merging large-scale immersive art, music, and VIP experiential programming for Art Basel’s collector and creative audience Apotheneum is a 30-foot illuminated cylinder housed within a 40-foot cubic frame, designed by artist Anthony Fieldman. The installation combines 26,000 LEDs, a haptic floor powered by 96 servo motors, and an immersive sound system to create a multisensory environment. Composed of two nested chambers made of double-sided LED nets, the structure includes a cubic antechamber surrounding a cylindrical “inner sanctum” open to the sky. Inside, a pressure-sensitive platform allows visitors to experience the piece through light, sound, and tactile feedback. Apotheneum encourages pause and reflection, functioning as both an architectural instrument and a gathering space that remains active throughout the festival.
