Around the time of the pandemic, I started seeing my good friend Jiao frequently sharing his street photography on WeChat. During that particular period of time, his pictures brought me a lot of joy and comfort.
Jiao and I both share a deep love for music. He is a member of the Beijing music collective “itsogoo,” and also shares his music diggings through his radio program “Underground Soundsystem”in China. His pictures carry a unique sense of humor and a slightly psychedelic feeling, filled with observations and reflections on everyday‘s life.
At some point, I shared with Jiao the idea of making this photobook together. Thankfully, with the help of different friends along the way, we were finally able to bring this book to life and share it.
