“With skateboarding and with creativity - You’re not gonna always be comfortable. You have to work around it” - @daewon1song 🎤
This is my animation contribution to an incredible project directed by @mandibleclaw , who curated a group of skater-artists to visualize Daewon’s skating in their own style. Driven by Daewon’s voiceover, the piece celebrates the interconnection of skateboarding, art, and creativity.
Here’s to pushing yourself toward the uncomfortable and making it work.

@lakings season starts today, so I thought I’d roll out this video I created for the Kings during last season’s playoffs. #builtforthis #letsgokings #hockey #3Danimation
Some videos I created for @redbull Unrailistic Ski Event to reveal the insane obstacles from the mind of @jespertjader . The event is a celebration of innovation, imagination, and creativity, making it such a fun and inspiring project to be a part of. #unrailistic #ski #vfx

An experiment with Vid2Vid style transfer, blending new and existing workflows to get something totally unique. I fed custom 3D renders into Stable Diffusion with a series of LoRas and ControlNets, to have control over the outputs while still being surprised by the weirdness the AI threw at me. While working on this project I found joy in the technical learning and the freedom to quickly manifest crazy ideas.
AI art is controversial, and it’s important to have dialogue and transparency about the process. (See my story for a breakdown of this project). There are also ethical dilemmas, due to AI models training on copyrighted material without consent, and the inherent biases from their data sources.
It goes without saying that the responsible use of AI tools is crucial for creators. I consciously avoided using names of artists, celebrities, or copyrighted IPs in my prompts, opting for generic style descriptions instead.
