I am so overwhelmed and overjoyed by this honor! I'm not in someone's funeral home or cemetery. I really get to take in this moment
I would love for everyone to join me on Saturday , November 15th at 11:00 AM on the 2000 block of Snyder Avenue.
I am grateful and appreciative for the opportunity and I would like to thank @phlcouncilpresident and each and every person that played a part in making this happen. We've been doing this work for 23 years and we have touched EVERY neighborhood throughout South Philly and other neighborhoods in Philadelphia. If we crossed paths or supported you in any way , shape or form , I would love to see you on Saturday!.......23 years strong!
Thank you!
The sacrifice of doing this work is missing your family, but understanding the mission. My son and family will understand it one day!
Good morning to my son!
I always encourage people to take our young people out of their neighborhood to see the world. Its good to see so many people visit Gary , Indiana to see where the Jackson family grew up at.
Three years ago , we took our young men to Gary , Indiana to see the home that Michael Jackson grew up in and the area blew their mind. Not only were they able to see the Jackson family home but they witnessed poverty in real time. As we toured Gary , we were able to see abandoned hotels , stores and schools in the area. It was a real eye opener for our young people.
In fact , during our Midwest swing we visited: Detroit , Indianapolis , Gary , Chicago , Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore , Memphis and some other places.
I say all this to say , if you have the opportunity to take young people outside of their everyday environment, please do it. My boys still remember this trip til this day!
And yes , we packed up two vans and we drove to all the places that I mentioned above!
I wake up every morning thankful for my mother and my sister. Over the years and til this day , they continue to be awesome women and more importantly great mothers.I love and appreciate them. @youonlyget1me@mommy_of4g_1b
Happy Mothers Day.
Happy Mothers Day to the person that gave me the greatest gift in the world @mirah___a ! When its time to get things done or take care of the family , you're always there to make sure that things go accordingly! I have to be honest , I can't repay you for what you have done , but I would like to let you know that I love and appreciate you! Today we celebrate you! Happy Mothers Day.
Today we hosted a Mothers Day Brunch brunch for My grandmother and Aunt! My cousin @odellr418 and @nirah_2much did an awesome job with putting this together. In addition to that , they had a candle making session with the women as well. Thank you to each and every person that made this event special.

I couldn't be more proud of @lnf_mir . I met this young man three years ago , when he applied for our Carpentry Class. He was the last student to apply and ended up being one of our best students , and now he's a student teacher. Today , Khamir graduated from Community College of Philadelphia with his associates degree , while still being in the 12th grade! This is what mentorship and investing in our young people looks like.
I am proud of this young man. Salute to his parents , grandparents and our @unityinthecommunity team for investing and guiding Khamir on his journey!
We are proud of you!
