Our student feature this week is junior
@utexasrtf major Anthony Luparello from Cedar Park, TX!
Anthony chose to study
@utexasrtf at #TEXASMoody because of the many opportunities the program presents its students. He says students here have the “ability to learn, grow, and be creative with some of the most passionate and hardworking people possible.”
One of Anthony’s favorite RTF classes has been “Advanced Editing” with Christopher Roldan. The course focused on skill development and learning industry-standard tools, and as a student interested in editing as a career, he shared that the class helped him “find ways to improve and hone in on my craft.”
Looking ahead, Anthony hopes to use his RTF degree to work as an editor across a wide range of digital media, including short films and music videos. He is especially interested in storytelling through editing and creating emotional impact for audiences.
Anthony is involved with Delta Kappa Alpha, a nationally recognized professional cinematic organization, which he describes as “one of the best communities of people anyone could ask for.” He works as an editor for a startup PLEC, a marketplace that lets everyday people instantly book venues and adjacent event services for one-day celebrations.
When he’s not in class, Anthony’s favorite place to eat near campus is Cabo Bob’s, and his most underrated study spot on campus is the Engineering Education and Research Center. Three words he would use to describe his UT experience are: “opportunity, community, action.”
Have a great rest of the semester, Anthony! Hook ’em! 🤘
