Diminishing Returns on Tuesday has a special treat for us – @anpp233 is visiting with a new mix – check out the interview with her on @recordturnover and her release for @overmybody.tw
Hear W.ANNA.W’s new track coming out on @katharsislabel soon, as well as some tracks from our compilation with @dissontiya that came out April 9
We interviewed Japanese artist W.ANNA.W, who has a unique connection to Denmark as it turns out. Her latest record ‘Petals of Nehan’ came out on @overmybody.tw and features people like Kenji Araki, xato and Quit Life. It’s an electronic post-club gem that I’ve been playing everywhere recently.

Vessels of Chaos : Remix Edition celebrates the one-year anniversary of Vessels of Chaos, a double-EP released by French artist Griigg late 2024 on MONTAGE and Over My Body.
While the original release explored primitive forms of collective organizations rooted in material reality, through the use of voice and organic noise as source material, this edition invited friends, previous collaborators and affiliated artists to reappropriate the sonic elements, to reshape them and project them into new territories and imaginaries.
The release welcomes artists from electronic scenes spread around the world, such as Archidi, Bademjan, B E N N, Disektor, HWXXNG, ixqzm, Mélodie Blaison, Melanin, Moxina, Rumina, Sprælle, and W.ANNA.W.
From ethereal soundscapes to club-oriented constructions, harsh textures, distorted beats, psychedelic grooves and shimmering reflections blend and collapse into new artefacts and prismatic devices, offering new perspectives and anchors in a crumbling lorescape.
As a true ode to communion and collaborative practices, Vessels of Chaos : Remix Edition concludes a narrative arc centered around the contemplation of emptiness, opening new doors and pathways into the sublime chaos.

Petals of Nehan unfolds as a sonic journey where powerful and unpredictable movements of sound intertwine with cultural influences and personal sensibilities. New release out today from W.ANNA.W (@anpp233 ). Sound on to hear a clip of the EP's first track 𝟬
🌐
W.ANNA.W has had an impressive 2023, releasing a solo project on Tokyo's @mizuha.cc and a collaborative EP with Quit Life on @soul__feeder .
Her POSTWORLD debut is arguably her most experimental output yet. On the first track, 0, W.ANNA.W masterfully manipulates a noise recording of a car engine, showing a calm curiosity by pulling out layers of intriguing and eerie textures from this most mundane of sound sources.
But this is just a prelude. The second track's title, 剣片喰 (Kenkatabami), is based on the sword, an image that represents the shape of W.ANNA.W's family crest. Traversing ideas of personal history and tradition, W.ANNA.W incorporates taiko drums and koto to express a martial spirit, arranging these alongside a range of microsounds into a dramatic shapeshifting piece that at times brings to mind the organic thump of gorge.
This fascinating two-tracker is accompanied by a newly commissioned artwork by @morganpatimo .
