I couldn’t change the caption on the last slides, but I wanted to share how I feel about exhibiting at Autograph. As I’ve mentioned, this project highlights a piece of history that has long been silenced/erased (I didn't know about this until I was in my 30's). I’ve used my family archive to shed light on those affected by indentureship after slavery was abolished. My family story touches only a small part of the wider experience and the generational trauma that followed. I hope it brings some sense of healing for others who were affected. These are some of the countries impacted by indentureship: Australia, Barbados, China, Cuba, Fiji, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Malaysia, Martinique, Mauritius, Peru, Portugal, Réunion, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, St Lucia, Suriname, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States and Vanuatu. On a separate note, I found an old notebook from a few years ago with a page of dreams, written in big letters was Autograph. And now, it’s happened! Thank you to Livvy, Bindi, and everyone at Autograph for making this dream a reality. The journey has been such a kind one. ❤️ @autographabp @bindi_vora @livvy_murdoch

I watched my postman hand this over to @markallred through our Ring camera and had no idea what it was. When I opened it and saw my work in the @autographabp newspaper alongside artists I admire, I actually had to sit down for a minute. I bought my first Autograph newspaper during lockdown reading about colonial legacies, archival photography while I was stuck at home starting my own practice. Now my work is in it. Thank you @bindi_vora @livvy_murdoch and everyone at Autograph for making this real. IMAGE 1: Autograph newspaper titled 'I Still Dream of Lost Vocabularies' lying on a blue-grey diamond-patterned rug. The cover shows a digitally reimagined family gathering around a dining table with tropical scenery in the background, featuring multiple figures in 1950s-style clothing. IMAGE 2: Two-page white spread with the title 'I Still Dream of Lost Vocabularies' at the top, followed by multiple columns of small text describing the exhibition. IMAGE 3: Two-page spread titled "Entangling Genealogies and Decolonial Justice" with dense text columns and four small historical photographs of people and families embedded in the text. The pages have a deep burgundy background. IMAGE 4: Two-page spread from the newspaper showing work by Sheida Soleimani and Sabrina Tirvengadum. Left page shows an installation with photographs on line drawings. Right page shows three images including the digitally reimagined family gathering, a figure in a dreamlike landscape, and visitors viewing artwork in a gallery with pink walls. IMAGE 5: Back page of the Autograph newspaper on the same patterned rug, showing four circular mandala-like designs in blue, turquoise, and coral tones arranged on a blue painted wooden surface. The page contains artist names and text in columns below the artwork.

We were pleased to host the launch of Beauty Fall by Sabrina Tirvengadum on 29 April 2026 at SPACE Ilford. The exhibition transforms the gallery into ‚a satirical beauty salon’, featuring AI-generated beauty ads, a face-morphing mirror and installations exposing colonial influences on algorithmic beauty standards. Through photography, AI, installation and archival material, Beauty Fall examines how idealised beauty standards shape identity, self-perception and our connection to ancestry. The exhibition continues until 10 October 2026. Admission is free and all are welcome. It's been a day of falling asleep because of my new meds, but burger, beers, mango sorbet, and corn ribs were delightful. Today was the first time for a few things: eating pistachio cookies, watching Akira and seeing it at the Prince Charles Cinema. I'm marking today because it was a nice, slow day. I need more days like this. Image description coming soon Photo credit: Petrus Raymond

Did you purchase the Financial Times today? Two of my new pieces are in FT Weekend Magazine's Photo London issue, alongside Eugénie Shinkle, Edmund Clark and Anselm Ebulue. I managed to juggle these new pieces alongside my solo exhibitions, and I've loved the conversations that followed. Thank you @emma_bowkett for making it happen, and your lovely team for being patient with my submission. And to everyone who contributed to this journey, thank you 🤍 @ft_weekend Image 1 description: An open FT Weekend Magazine spread titled "MY LONDON" on a palm tree printed surface. The intro names four featured photographers: Sabrina Tirvengadum, Eugénie Shinkle, Edmund Clark and Anselm Ebulue. Two of Sabrina's artworks sit on the page. Left: a young Mauritian girl in a pink frilly dress standing in a garden with a child's pink bicycle, a doll on a picnic blanket and washing on the line. Right: a 1980s family living room with two children and two women on a brown striped sofa holding a newspaper, pink curtains, a CRT television and a blue elephant toy on a floral carpet. Image 2: The cover of FT Weekend Magazine dated 9 May 2026, with the title in pink serif type. The cover artwork shows two overlapping black and white photographs of textured rock surfaces, slightly tilted. Pink text in the bottom left corner reads "THE PHOTO LONDON ISSUE 2026." The magazine rests on a palm tree printed surface.

Speaking at @vamuseum on 23 May 2026 I'll be on a panel with Dr. Orson Nava and Jann Choy in conversation with the V&A Youth Collective, talking about creativity and technology: how it shapes our practices and what it means to build a career across both worlds. Part of Upstart: Careers in Art & Design, a day for anyone thinking about creative careers, with panels, networking and time to actually meet the people whose work you want to know more about. Panel 1: 12:00 – 13:00 V&A South Kensington. Free entry. Link in bio Image description: A bright graphic poster for a V&A South Kensington event titled "Upstart: Careers in Art & Design," taking place on 23rd May 2026. The title appears in bold black italic text on lilac speech-bubble shapes. The background is lime green with a faint grid pattern, framed by spiky yellow shapes around the edges. A colour photograph in the centre shows two young people smiling and chatting. An olive-skinned man is on the left, with curly dark hair and over-ear headphones around his neck; a Black woman is on the right, with an afro and white headphones around her neck, holding a small orange object. A pale green speech bubble in the bottom left reads "Kickstart Your Creative Career." The V&A logo sits in the bottom-right corner, with "Supported by Adobe Foundation" in the bottom-left corner.
