From my first really good night out in Notts when Peach Fuzz booked Darwin at Bar 11 and the countless subsequent nights spent playing/partying there, to seeing Luke cut the ribbon outside The Model on its opening night and recently playing my first all night long set with my Surreal Estate partner in crime Sam… many many good times have been had at this spot.
Here’s hoping tonight will be another one of those good times!

There’s few dj’s or producers out there at the moment blurring the lines between techno, grime and dubstep quite like @__toura so it was an absolute honour to do a guestmix for his @reprezentradio show last week !!
Proper happy with how this mix came out, really feels like an authentically me take on the whole dubstep x grime x techno sound, leaning into the darker and more hypnotic sides of those genres and letting songs and blends play out (I’ll leave the chopping wizardry to those who are actually good at it). Went for the sorta mix I’d play if I was warming a proper heads-down sweaty dubstep rave and I think that vibe is captured pretty well.

Surreal Estate returns to The Model for a night of hypnotic, broken rhythms and low-end psychedelia featuring an extended headline set from the extraordinary Dj wiggles. Expect mind-bending techno, dubstep, drum & bass and more, as we go down the wormhole to the deep and dreamy outer-realms of bass music.
Making her Notts’ debut, Dj wiggles has been one of the most interesting and sought after selectors on the London scene for the past few years — with regular appearances at some of the big smoke’s best clubs like Fold, Venue MOT and Ormside Projects.
Informed by the afterhours and twilight dancefloor divinity, wiggles moves wide-eyed and loose through an impressive array of club styles. Leftfield and experimental sounds are turned rave-ready, her amorphous set flow guiding the wide range of music and tempos on offer via a metre of energy and surprise. Sometimes swampy and dark, other times driving and propulsive; it’s a blank canvas approach each and every. This emphasis on narrative over cheap thrills and rigidity marks her as an ambitious practitioner within the culture, an emergent voice amongst those willing to push things forward.
Very few artists capture what the Surreal Estate is all about more than wiggles, so join us on the 7th of November as we invite you to step away from your mundane comforts and venture into the surreal.
