Annika’s Back!! Hellooooo everyone! I am so glad to be feeling better and coming back to being more present on social media. In June, I went through an experience that really decimated my mental health leading to several doctors visits, weight and hair loss, along with a serious eye infection and injuring my left shoulder plus pinching my back so badly I couldn’t wash my own hair or stand up to do makeup for weeks. Finally after a few months of healing I am feeling well enough to get back into being more present for all of you as best as I can! I wanted to share some recent weddings I had where I feel the hair and makeup looks truly capture my personal style. In general, my makeup looks are variations of soft glam - SOFT application of generally not extremely vibrant colours on eye lips and cheeks with GLAM full coverage, flawless skin. This definition is the reason “natural glam” doesn’t exist and anyone advertising that they do “natural glam” is just an artist who doesn’t care about educating you and wants to sell themselves to you by insulting your intelligence🙃they know normal consumers who don’t understand Makeup search “natural glam” and so they want to profit off of ignorance which to me is pretty shitty. Any artist who feels triggered by this statement please Dm me, even with my shoulder brace on I can still kick your ass 🤷🏽‍♀️ and even if I don’t win at least I’ll have pride I stood up for what’s right in our industry, unlike yourselves 💁🏾‍♀️ ANYWAYS 🤣 Melissa and Keerthana’s makeups are perfect examples of NEUTRAL glam, where all the tones in eyes lips and cheeks are neutral and already exist in her skin tones on different parts of her body. Their makeup is like custom nude Lingerie made perfectly for their skin tones - I love them! Don’t get me wrong, I love full glam beats too, and I have a few examples of that coming in time but these soft glam looks are both so timeless while giving such an incredible wow factor, I gotta give them their 💐 Ok babydolls, as you can see I have both my sugar AND spice back 🤣can’t wait to see more of you soon and make more posts for you all to enjoy! As a teacher, sometimes I’m not sure who to be more proud of - my students, or me 🤣 The fantastic Rachel is a hair stylist and salon owner in Brantford, breaking into makeup. She wanted expert direction in techniques, product use, the WHYs of makeup, and how to have success in the business realm of this side in the beauty industry.
