Ministry of Social Affairs and Health asked Ellun Kanat to make social welfare attractive and understandable for youth. The goal was to familiarise the younger Gen Z with the central concepts and show how their life is intertwined with social welfare now and as they grow older.
The jury of teens involved in the planning wished – against our assumptions – that the campaign should look like matter-of-fact communication of a reliable authority. The statistical data were used to create narrative infographics carrying a young person from one stage of life to another. The alienating obscurity of graphs was avoided by taking the implementation in the direction of graph joke memes.
A new approach to information design and narrativizing it with the help of motion was, according to the client, an insightful and revolutionary step towards more service-oriented ministry communication. It proved that it is also possible to package hard official data in a playful and spectacular way, if the context allows it.
We also came up the Alias-style explanation game variation and invited influencers to brush up their social welfare knowledge.
@roopekaristo 's magical editing elevates their wholesome explanation agony to comedy gold.
