Over the past year and a half, I’ve been working on a new documentary series, following three truly remarkable people as they navigate a new chapter in their lives after childhood cancer. The shooting days are almost wrapped up, and it has been an incredible, amazing rollercoaster. We’re now diving into the editing process so that these films can be premiered this spring! Vanaf vandaag kun je de docu serie ‘Samen Verder: leven na kinderkanker’ kijken via ons YouTube-kanaal of de website (link in bio). Hierin laten Lydia (31), Fleur (22) en Jorg (31) zien hoe zij leven met de blijvende gevolgen van hun ziekte. De serie laat zien dat genezen niet altijd betekent dat alles voorbij is, en helpt het gesprek hierover te openen. ‘Samen Verder’ is geregisseerd door filmmaker en survivor Annick Sickinghe en mogelijk gemaakt door de Prinses Máxima Centrum Foundation.

en daar als volwassene nog elke dag de gevolgen van ervaren. Drie mensen die ik in mijn hart gesloten heb. Het werd een serie over levenskunst:
over hoe je, met blijvende gevolgen, je eigen weg vindt in het leven. Over mentaal welzijn, zorg na genezing, werk, ouderschap en de kwetsbaarheid van het lichaam in een prestatiegerichte maatschappij. Samen Verder gaat 9 april in première

💫2025, I can’t even name all the highlights.
Mostly because this year was filled with so many beautiful people, laughing together, working together, sharing love, wins and losses. And yes… way too many photos on my phone to ever do it justice. I’m deeply grateful for every collaboration, every stage, every dance floor, every shared meal, and every friend who made this year great!! Looking ahead to 2026 feels exciting; new releases, new stories, new performances already waiting.
But first… I’m going offline for a bit. So much to look forward to and be thankful for. 💫 • Filmed and picture-locked a new docu series → releasing in 2026

• Touring France with De Aanhouder Swingt
• Touring Wales with Broken Brass
• Exhibition of my animation installation at La Garage
• Screening my short film at EYE
• Filming with Winona for her film about trees 🌳 • Organized an amazing festival at the Warren, where we shook the entire building with Afrogrooves
• Another week at an art residency in Belgium with my wonderful friends
• Back to camp: one magical week in the forest with 100 children
• Finally learned screen printing, proud of my first prints
• Painting projects and experiments • Writing new material with Kathlyn
• Reaching the top of the Dolomites after a 6-day hike 🏔️

🔥Last Thursday was the @valvetronicbrassband album release at De Melkweg, what a night!🔥 An album and concert featuring 13 guest artists. So many incredibly talented people in one place. I feel so lucky to share the stage with them. So proud of this band.
