𝕍𝕣𝕚𝕛𝕖 𝕍𝕒𝕝 © ANNE• 2025 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 floats in space like a detached fragment of a building. The installation plays with perception and perspective. Viewed from below, the work mimics the sterile aesthetic of an office ceiling: sleek white panels and functional LED lighting that exude a sense of control and stability. However, when the structure is tilted, the real side is revealed. Here we see the technical innards: the unpainted blue panels, the imperfections, and the chaos of dangling wiring. This contrast forms the core of the work: power as a structure you didn’t know you were maintaining. The suspended ceiling symbolises the false promise of safety and the avoidance of confrontation. The exposed top compels us to acknowledge our own blind spots. It’s an invitation to look at the messy reality under every light, the structure that makes it possible. Week 1 van de opbouw zit erop! 📦 De NDSM-fuse is elke dag onherkenbaar veranderd. Wat begon als een indrukwekkende, lege hal, ademt nu met de eerste structuren, fundamenten en kunstwerken die hun plek vinden. Het is ongelooflijk om te zien hoe de plannen van de afgelopen maanden (en jaren!) nu fysiek vorm krijgen. Dit is 'Wij Zijn De Tijden' in de praktijk: samen bouwen, sjouwen en creëren. We draaien op adrenaline, koffie en de onmisbare hulp van een geweldig team. Een gigantische dankjewel aan de helden die deze week kwamen helpen met hun tijd, kracht en goede energie: @safierelzinga @vanlamoens_design Alex en Menno Op naar week 2. De opening op 22 november komt nu heel dichtbij. Build-up Week 1 is a wrap! 📦 The NDSM-fuse has been transforming every single day. What started as an impressive, empty hall is now breathing with the first structures, foundations, and artworks finding their place. It's incredible to see the plans we've made over the last months (and years!) finally taking physical shape. This is 'Wij Zijn De Tijden' in practice: building, carrying, and creating together. We are running on adrenaline, coffee, and the indispensable help of an amazing team. A massive thank you to the heroes who came to help this week with their time, strength, and great energy - Safier, Steffie, Alex and Menno. On to week 2. The opening on November 22nd is getting very real.

WIJ ZIJN DE TIJDEN EXHIBITION 22.11.25 – 18.01.2026 OPENING Nov 22, 15.00 - 18.00. Where do we find hope in a fractured world? Four artists from two generations of a single family — Alida Verheij, Winfried Scholz, Anne Verheij, and Jeffrey Choy — set out to examine this question together. Through monumental installations, powerful sculptures, layered collages, and embodied spaces, they explore the tension between external power structures and inner strength, between empty words and authentic connection, between the human lifespan and the eternality of nature. ‘Wij Zijn De Tijden’ is a visual journal that reminds us the most radical act is to be present. The exhibition challenges visitors to ask themselves: what does it mean to hold power and to wield it. How do we seek connection in an era of noise, and where is our place in the grand, elemental cycle of life and death? Hope is found by taking responsibility for the space you occupy.
