Happy Women’s day! I love women. I love being a woman. I love raising them, being a daughter, a friend, a student, teacher, and sister. I am so lucky to have so many incredible women in my life, I’d be lost without these people, and many more who are not pictured!!!
Happy Anniversary to my ride or die partner in life and adventure! We’ve weathered some rough roads and uncertain times together, and I wouldn’t change any of it. One of the best parts of our love is that we can keep growing together, while also allowing each other’s individual expansion. Thank you for always giving me the space and encouragement to grow, and thank you for doing the real work on yourself too. It might be the end of January, but it’s never too late to post holiday photos right? lol! Just looked through the camera roll for the first time in a while and found some sweet family pics. Figured I better post them now before I post India pics… or maybe I’ll wait a few months for that 🤣🙃 always grateful for time together, family time is the best time ❤️
Finally looking through last month’s Paris photos. We checked in on @_luke_armstrong who’s living his best Paris life in culinary school, ate and drank until we swore we never would again, and then did it again, and again… saw some great art, walked along the Seine, saw some sights, soaked in the pre-Olympic energy building in the city, were dazzled by Luke and his friends cooking, and enjoyed some sweet family time. Paris je t’aime!
I recently had the pleasure of traveling abroad with my beautiful kids Luke and Grace. Grace had senior year spring break at CU, and Luke had a pause between his levels in culinary school, where he is enrolled in Paris. It struck me first that I was so pleased that they chose to travel together during their respective breaks. It has been so fun to watch their relationship blossom into a true and deep friendship. The second thing that struck me was deep gratitude that they asked me to join them (which I did for half of the travels so they could also enjoy time alone together!) When kids become adults the parent/child relationship becomes much more of a choice. I suppose even more so with ‘step’ children. I am so honored they chose time with me. Love you two to the moon and back and then some more. Looking forward to more adventures together, wherever life takes us all ❤️🌈✈️

The second half of the trip was somehow more epic than the first?? And the FOMO was manageable until @annahansenarmstrong taught a private yoga class on the lawn of @belmondlaresidencia 😫 who’s coming next year?
Still smiling about the sweetest send off by the sweetest friends. Leaving Aspen has been hard, I will miss the mountains and the beautiful and resilient people who live in them. I’ve made friends like no others in this magical valley. We won’t be away forever, and I’m certainly not spending summers in Texas @lancearmstrong !! 😂

I’m also glad there’s no videos where you can actually hear me singing karaoke! I’ll proudly wear my hat branded AA for my name, but also for Aspen/ Austin.
