Elven OC: Lady Elora
I always try to give my little photoshoot characters backstories before I go into filming. It helps me get into character and set up a vibe for the content I make. Lady Elora has got to be a new favorite. She lost her husband in a great war between the Elven races of their world. Despite having great power in divine foresight, even her intuitions could not save him from his grave fate. When her people returned her partner’s sword to her, she was given a final gift from him. In his final moments, her husband imbued his weapon with flashbacks of their life together that she accessed through channeling. Hundreds of years worth of memories were locked into his sword. His sword was also imbued with the memory of his passing. Due to the chaotic nature of this magic, Elora paid a heavy price by unlocking the memories, she now sees permanent visions of her lost husband. She wanders her moonlight palace chasing his ghost, only to realize by dawn that her husband’s presence is just another memory.

We see so many versions of her throughout the book. Versions of joy, loss pain, love, compassion, etc. This was a great quick-paced fantasy with intriguing lore, great world building and beautiful scenic story telling.

“Missing my wings in a realm of angels” 🪽
The inspiration for this shoot is one of my favorite @sleep_token lyrics. Sometimes I feel like an imposter. Like no matter how hard I work, how hard I try.. I’ll never be enough. I’ll never belong. I’ll never fit in. Whether that’s in life or in the communities I have spent years trying to participate in. I’m just “missing my wings in a realm of angels”. I have to remind myself that I do belong. I do matter. My work is beautiful. I am enough. I do have my wings. 🪽
