Thank you to everyone who sent kind wishes, cards, and presents yesterday. It was a lovely birthday, but my first without my daddy.
And the fact that it’s wrong that I will keep getting older and he won’t hit me pretty hard.
I miss him every day. But I could have been particularly blue yesterday - however @helenreed3679 made sure I had a fun birthday brunch with my lovely family, and @isabelosos and @a_garden_for_pippin looked after us amidst the daffodils, and I felt very loved.
And every single person who was kind to me from near or far helped quite a sad day become a very happy one.

Happy Birthday, little me… you don’t wear as many sailor dresses or patent leather shoes these days, and you never became a gymnast, or a Tudor historian, but you still like dancing, peanut butter, telling stories, and your mum - and you’re basically doing ok ❤️

It’s difficult to describe the shape and size of the void my dad left when he passed away - but when I’m at my saddest I like to imagine him here…He can’t reply because he’s on a speedboat with no phone, avoiding hippos and enjoying the view❤️😔
