Day to day we live in a hamster wheel of an efficiency-driven society.
In this society, we strive for cost reductions, resource sparsity and increased production speeds, a doctrine which in the housing industry presents itself as repeated living typologies, minimalistic materiality and standardized dimensions.
Although this doctrine was introduced 60 years ago as a solution to combat a housing crisis and raise living standards, in contemporary housing it promotes trends of shrinkage and dissolvement of important domestic attributes.
It seems as if we no longer create housing for the act of living, the one thing a house is meant to support. A fact I am wishing to remind of and explore in this project.

Ninevites Showroom
An interior design proposal for the new @the_ninevites showroom located at @44_stanleyavenue .
The showroom features minimalistic, timeless furniture which, combined with warm, earthy, terracotta walls creates a homey atmosphere. It is meant to showcase Ninevites products, ranging from carpets, towels and cushions to vases, trinkets and apparel.
It has been a real pleasure collaborating with @the_ninevites , and am excited to see the carpentry brought to life by @about_wood_ .

I would like to welcome everyone to an exhibition today that is held by @konstfack , @beckmanscollegeofdesign and @malmstens_liu at @mdtsthlm , Slupskjulsvägen 30.
It is open from the 3rd to 7th of February and is a great opportunity to see 3rd year student projects of respective schools side by side!

Ändträets struktur gör att träfibrerna delar sig vid skärning och sedan återgår till sin ursprungliga position, vilket minskar slitaget på både knivar och bräda.

Black Point
A floating nightstand that I made on the request of my friend from alder wood.
It was a great mental exercise making this floating nightstand. Though not perfect, this piece was a fun “experiment” and the oil stain looks beautiful.

Poise
Is a chair that I made for the infamous Plankan assignment.
Each student received a 900x120x50mm piece of pinewood and had to create a chair with a backrest.
While creating Poise I explored the possibilities of cross joinery and was astonished by how strong the 6mm strips of wood actually were.
