Nyege Nyege’s Outsider Music uses the experimental spectrum of sound for anti-normativity and also for its own party. Following this idea, BEEK invites you to take part in this gathering of differing sounds and shapes, beats and crashes with:
Hailing from South Sudan DJ and producer Turkana is now challenging dancefloors from Kampala via CTM to Primavera Sound and many more. Being part of the Nyege Nyege collective, she also co-founded the queer-feminist event series and label ANTI-MASS. Turkana is playing left-field African electronics, underground hard dance and non-normative techno feeding the dancefloor as a battleground between oppression and liberation.
Metal Preyers is a fluid group of sound and visual artists, this time represented by founder and London based producer Jesse Hackett. Together with Mariano Chavez and Lord Tusk they met at Nyege Nyege’s headquarter in Kampala to create snake spit defenders, slither drippers, screwed metallic preyers, helicopter drums and even more tracks, that are second best described by their name and best by their sound.

Mika Oki is a visual artist, DJ and producer based in Brussels. With a background in sculpture and electro-acoustic music, she explores the notion of intangible spaces not only through installations but also in her mixes, that are shaped by a taste in rumbles and undeniable love for sounds from across the Channel. On the turntables she manages to gather seemingly disparate and conflicting elements, weaving into incredible coherence.

EuroEyez is part of Cologne based Safe Space Records and the underground artist collective OneMother. As DJ she merges various genres like experimental, bass, electronic, rap and pop creating a refreshing and captivating musical experience for her listeners. EuroEyez found the community „Gentle Leash“ with an event series taking place at Golden Pudel to introduce and represent Asian diaspora artists to Hamburgs club scene.
