It’s not an easy job - and yes, it’s a job - full of the utmost important responsibilities. And no matter how many millions of women have done it before us, it cannot ever quite prepare you for your own journey.
That’s why nothing makes me feel more loved and protected than waking up each Mother’s Day to other moms’ well wishes for the holiday. It’s the moms who get up in the subway when you need to sit when pregnant; it’s the moms who help you with childcare when you need it; it’s the moms who will reason with you when you’re about to lose your sanity when it gets too hard; and it’s the moms who will remember to capture the sweet impromptu moments with your child when no one is looking. 📸
