After two years, countless mental breakdowns, photoshop crashes and the spinning rainbow wheel of death I can officially say I have completed a masters.
Introducing my final project, beti, the first iteration of a typeface created to help form bridges between Punjabi and English. Each letterform has been designed to incorporate aspects of the Punjabi language as it is spoken. Through the contrast of curves and rigid lines, beti pays homage to a beautiful and underrated language.
THE TIME HAS COME!! After 5 and a half years, I’ll be moving on from GAY TIMES
It’s been the most amazing experience of my life to work across some of the best campaigns, events and editorial in the queer space. The LGBTQIA+ community is filled with so much undeniable talent, protest and courage of conviction, I couldn’t be more blessed to have experienced this firsthand.
I’ve had the chance to work with the best team at GAY TIMES to create so much joy and magic. They are truly the best in what they do and GAY TIMES wouldn’t exist how it does today without them. Also a massive shoutout to @jackrowe who has helped me flourish into the designer that I am today🫶
BUT, with this very sad ending comes an exciting new beginning as I’ll be starting a new role as a Designer at Coffee & TV. I can’t wait to see what this new era brings me!
I’ll also be taking on freelance work (portfolio in bio) so if you’d like to work together then slideeee in my DMs
Here’s to the start of a new journey! 💫
