I was approached by director Charlie Steeds to design and construct the submarine filming miniature for special effects shots in his film GODS OF THE DEEP. I’ve included some behind the scenes progress shots, from the initial scale drawing stages, through to construction and final paint/decal/LED lighting touches. A fun project to work on!

What a brilliant time in Bristol for the Aardman Academy graduation party! It’s been great finally meeting everyone face to face, after 12 weeks of Zoom meetings and animating! Also a nice treat to see all the graduation films screened in the studio cinema - quite surreal seeing your work on the big screen! Big thanks to Mark, Katie and Stuart for running the course and organising this lovely meet up, as well as my mentor Darren who has given me brilliant advice on my tasks during our weekly meetings.
A great community of people in a beautiful city! Still pinching myself!

Thought it might be interesting to show the unedited animation take I used for my final film for Aardman Academy SM1. Lots of tedious rig/green screen removal in After Effects required, but it was worth it in the end!
